The situation
Rutech put every quote together by hand: three documents merged in an external tool, contract terms picked from memory, and the supplier quote exported as a PDF from a program with no API. On site, measurements were taken on paper and typed up again at the office, and the standard choices on fixings, colours, glass and trim were not written down anywhere.
What we built
Quote Assembler is a web tool that takes the supplier quote, rebrands it for Rutech and Edilru, builds the price summary, adds the right contract terms and merges everything into one PDF ready to send. There is always a review screen before anything goes out.
Live measurements is a tablet app that replaced the paper survey: job, customer details, list of openings, floor-plan sketch, measurements by voice or keyboard, the photos each category needs, and a running price as you go. It syncs straight away and queues everything when there is no signal. Catalogue, pricing and standard defaults came out of the spreadsheets and are now managed in one place.
The result
The external PDF tool is gone, the system picks the contract terms, and measurements, photos and floor plans reach the office the moment they are taken.
